Mac Kandji forces MLS Cup-winning own goal
November 21, 2010

Sigh. The trade looked good on paper. Mac Kandji, a man without a position, a late-game sub at best, to Colorado for Mehdi Ballouchy, a creative midfielder that would push Metro to the next level. Sigh.

No, Kandji didn't exactly do much with Colorado -- until tonight, when he came on in overtime, fought off (fouled?) a defender, and hit a cross off Dallas' George John and into the net. The goal gave the Rapids -- a team Metro whacked twice at home and tied on the road this year -- MLS Cup. Sigh.

Marvell Wynne also joined the ever-growing list of ex-Metros to win the league championship.

Sigh.
